Lourimi
Co-founder of ORWL_, Alexandre Lourimi is a partner and recognised in France as a leading adviser on the tax treatment of crypto-assets and innovative projects.
Expertises
His practice is characterised by a deep command of the technical environment specific to crypto-assets: expertise in crypto-finance, on-chain transaction analysis, decentralised-protocol architecture and data analytics. This knowledge feeds a comprehensive approach to taxation, allowing him to address—with rigour and precision—diverse issues in corporate income tax, VAT, personal income tax, cross-border mobility, and wealth and estate taxation, as well as to represent clients in tax audits and litigation.
Alexandre acts for a broad clientele at the intersection of finance, technology and law: crypto-asset service providers (exchanges, brokers, custodians), fintechs, financial institutions, decentralised protocols, NFT studios, but also C-suite executives, high-net-worth investors, artists and collectors. He also provides pro bono assistance to NGOs that incorporate crypto-assets into their fundraising or financing mechanisms. His mandates range from tax audits to contentious representation.
He is co-author of Droit des crypto-actifs et de la blockchain (LexisNexis, 2024) and publishes regularly in specialised journals. Alexandre teaches digital-tax law at university level and trains lawyers and judges at the Paris Bar School (EFB). He also contributes to industry working groups, notably in the context of French Finance Acts.
Since 2021 his team has been ranked “Incontournable” (top tier) in Leaders League’s Blockchain guide.
